Many students want to start school the moment they walk through the school gate.
At Karumba State School, we encourage families to complete enrolment paperwork and then have a tour of the school. This assists students in becoming more familiar and leads to a smoother transition.
We urge families to spend the day organising uniforms and books and discussing the school tour and items of interest.
This allows the child time to process the information and provides the teacher time to prepare a learning space and curriculum groupings.
Karumba State School welcomes students the following day.
Attendance matters, and it is your legal obligation as parents to ensure your child/ children are attending school - on time, every day. Attendance at our school is monitored closely and reported to the Department daily via roll-marking procedures. If your child/ children are not in attendance, you will be contacted to provide reason of their unexplained absence. Continued incidents of unexplained absence will be followed up by the principal.
We trust this assists you with your preparations. Please let us know if we can further assist you.
