Croydon Carnival

20/04/2016

Students travelled to Croydon on Wednesday to compete in the Croydon Carnival.

They worked tirelessly and with gusto as they prepared for events throughout lunch times, after school sport and in their own time.

Karumba students excelled this year and had 4 age champions at the swimming carnival.

Karumba Senior Touch Team almost all scored a goal and united well as a team.

Junior Touch Footy Team played against Mt Surprise in a breathtaking match of the small school underdogs in the Grand Final.  Mt Surprise played an amazing game, however it was Karumba's time to shine.  Karumba won!  All of your hard work and training paid off - Congratulations!

The eisteddfod time came around and it was Karumba's turn to perform.  There were  a few hiccups (a few students who dropped out at the last minute, leaving remaining students to swap into new roles, no time for a full dress rehearsal, etc.) however despite all of this, Karumba students performed well.  The crowd flocked in to watch as the eagle babies ate the snake!  The storyline was enjoyed immensely.  Congratulations to all who performed.  Karumba also won the Best Costume Award!

KARUMBA - YOU MADE US PROUD!
